Film Review for Scott Pilgrim vs the World

'Scott Pilgrim vs the World' is a movie I can see over and over again and never get tired of it. As a fan of the comic book and an avid comic book reader I can honestly say that 'Scott Pilgrim vs the World' is the most accurrate adaption of a comic to date.
Michael Cera is the perfect casting of Scott Pilgrim, a 22 year old who at first dates a high school girl and later finds the girl of his dreams, Romona Flowers. Romona Flowers however has seven exes that plan to stand in Scott's way.
The story line moves along at break neck speeds, in a good way. The fast pace of the film keeps the watcher interested. The fight with Romona's first evil exe is a good example. One moment Scott is playing the the battle of the bands and before the song could end he finds himself mid air going toe to toe with a random pirate who just burst through fhe roof. Hilarity insues.
The music score for the film was all written for the film and was done beautifully. I find myself wanting to watch the next scene and the scene after that just for the music.
The third fight in 'Scott Pilgrim vs the World' is special effect perfection. The battle takes place in an alley and on a stage. Brandon Routh plays the third evil ex and is ultimately taken down by a "green ray" which has a little bit of irony considering he played superman in 2006.
I highly recommend this film to any one who enjoys comedy, and action at break neck speeds.

Post 3 J.Hernandez!!!

I love movies. Me and my girlfriend Sarah go out to the movies very often. This weekend we are going to go see "The Lion King" in 3-D!
One of my favorite movies is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I LOVE all of the Harry Potter movies but HPGOF is my favorite. Mostly because the 4th book was the first book I read of all 7 books.
Another one of my favorite movies is Mean Girls. Weird right? I'm a guy, I should like guy movies with action and blah blah blah. Well I'm not very typical. I use to like it because it is funny. Now I love it because me and my "group" (me and 5 other people who hung out all of our lives), have watched is at LEAST 30 times. Its totally out 'goto' movie.
And finally I really really enjoy watching Scott Pilgrim vs the world. Its beatifuly done and has provided me hours of entertainment. I can literally watch it once a day. What I like the most about it is how fast the movie progresses. Fantastic.

Post 1 J.Hernandez!!

My day starts at 4:59am. I prepare for work in the morning by listening to the radio. Usually at that time they only play songs. It leave my apartment at 5:08am. On the way to work I listen to my car radio. I listen to kidd kratic (spelling?) until they go to break at 5:15. Then I switch it to 101.9 JUST to hear their short segment "News you can't use". Which is usually news about something that happen no where near Texas and is irrelevant but interesting non-the-less. At 5:22 I put it back to kid kratic on 96.5. There are virtually no billboards on 1604? If there are then I have taken no note of them. There are however, gasoline stations. I think the said stations can be considered a form of mass media. The price of gasoline tells a lot and many people see it everyday. If gas has gone up then the price of a barrel of oil has gone up and the same is true for the opposite. If gas rises and stays at that amount for a long period of time then it is a sign of a good economic times.
I arrive at work promptly at 5:30. My job at target is 'receiving'. Basically day to day I check in venders and their product so it can be sold in the store. Throughout the day I talk to each vender and my co-workers. All this interaction among people is a form of mass media. While working I listen to pandora on my iPhone. During breaks I read up on current events on my abc news app. After work I once again listen to the radio.

Post 2 J.Hernandez

I receive most of my news from my iPhone. Specifically I use the abc news app.
I read the news on this app all throughout the day. I go into work at 5:30am, take a break at 9:00am and read the news, then work until 11:00am and read the news some more. I also get a lot of news from my girlfriend Sarah. We talk everyday about a current event or two. Either I'll share something I read on the abc news app or she'll tell me about something they discussed in class (at Trinity University). We felt like we were not communicating well and part of the reason was because we wouldn't talk about the things she cared about most, current events. Thankfully, all is well and maybe even better than ever. :)
The news I hear from Sarah is vastly different from the news I read off my app. Sarah's news comes from other people, my news comes from a single source.
I imagine more people would answer "I get my news from TV". That is not the case for me. I do not have cable and so commercial television is not available. I do however, get internet.
The top 8 sites that I use on my computer are Facebook, Youtube, 2 anime sites, Hulu, pandora, Magic the gathering, and Northwest vista college. None of the sites ARE news sites but each site contains news in its own way. I rely on facebook to deliver important football game scores when they are on. And I am always well aware when the cowboys lost and who is to blame haha.
